Training and Information

CBA’s training and information services range from one-off environmental briefings to full staff training programmes in support of a detailed environmental improvement strategy.

Company briefings are designed to provide organisations with an overview of how and where business activities might affect the environment, what can be done about it and how this in turn might present business opportunities. This is often a first step in addressing an organisation’s relationship with the environment.

Sector briefings and information workshops might be commissioned by industry bodies and offered to member organisations to encourage the dissemination of a particular message. Thus the Housing Corporation commissioned a series of full day workshops for all major social housing providers to support introduction of the EMH – resulting in a high level of acceptance for the management system among the staff intended to use it.

CBA also offers training and support for existing and new environmental legislation. The Environmental Information Regulations 2004, for example, become effective on 1st January 2005, and our issues and solutions workshop will help effected organisations meet their requirements with increased efficiency and expertise.
